SUNY Schenectady eSports offers competitive gaming for individuals or teams to play video games through weekly matches in the statewide SUNY eSports League and national ECAC League. It’s a great way to make new friends – and friendly rivalries – in an intercollegiate environment with plenty of opportunities become part of a growing campus gaming community.

In addition to league play, we welcome all gamers and skill levels! Whether you want to play casual games during free time, pick up a friendly match, or watch fellow students play, the new eSports Arena – located on the ground floor of Elston Hall off the State Street lobby – is dedicated to providing students with the latest gaming technology while fostering an inclusive, supportive environment.

Interested in broadcasting? The new arena features a shout casting booth for live-streaming competitive league matches during the week.

What can I play?

There is a Fall and Spring season, with competition spanning the duration of a semester. The regular season includes weekly matches against other colleges in the league, followed by playoffs to determine title champions.

Who can play?

The arena and gaming lounge are open to any student currently enrolled at SUNY Schenectady in good academic standing. To participate in SUNY or ECAC eSports Leagues competitively, visit the SUNY Schenectady eSports Team Page to learn more. Click the Join button to register for the team and select the games you want to compete in, then our coach will contact you to complete your team registration. Tryouts are not required.
